Fifteen years ago today, I stood up in front of a small group of friends and family in Jane's parents' living room and did the smartest thing I've ever done in my life.
Married her.
It's a bit hard to fathom that it's been that long, really. It's also really amazing to realize that we just keep getting stronger as a couple as the years go by. I know how lucky I am, and I know that fifteen years is just an arbitrary number, divisible by five. But I can count on one hand the number of marriages among our friends that have lasted as long as ours or longer and I'd still have a few fingers left over.
So, I'll mark this day as one of the best two of my life. |

Congrats!
(although, based on the title, the first thought of my geeky brain, "Hey, he gets an action point!")
Congratulations to you both.
Congrats to the both of you. I think it was a pretty smart move on her part as well.
Congrats, of course! Since divorce seems to be running rampant on my block, I am always glad to hear and see a marriage still humming along. Rocky patches, smooth patches, still humming along. You two are good for each other, and that's what really matters.
Congratulations to the both of you, and many happy returns.
Late to the party, but grats to you both. | |
