Computer Repair Weekend Continues

A client of Jane's mom had problems with her laptop and someone (probably Jane's aunt) mentioned that I work on PCs for them, so I found myself accepting yet another commission to "remove a virus."

What they thought was a virus was actually a case of "Elderly People With a Laptop."  I know that sounds terribly age-ist, and to be fair, the machine was actually in pretty good shape, but I'm pretty sure it would have occurred to most computer users of my generation and younger (in other words, all of you) to maybe see if there's a physical on/off switch for the wireless.

I can't bring myself to charge more than my minimum fee (fifty bucks).  I barely did anything to it.
