Interlac

Further Good Signs

I was able to get gas for the car today (I was down to about 1/3 of a tank, and I expect I'll be needed back at work before the end of the week).  Best of all, there was only about a ten minute wait at the same station that had two mile long lines yesterday morning.  I expect this is largely due to people getting gas to relieve the immediate demand.  I expect by the time I need to refill again, there won't be any problems.

(I did try to get some gas from the in-laws, but as things turned out, much of the gas they'd gotten was contaminated with water, so that option vanished.)

We're waiting on the roofers to come and put on a temporary patch when they measure for a replacement.  They said they'd get it done before the weekend, and there's no real chance of rain until Saturday, so here's hoping they come through.  I really don't want to go back up there and try to place a tarp.

Once we get decent cellular coverage again, I'll upload some pictures I took with my phone on Saturday morning.  I took some more with Jane's camera today, but I still need to re-hook up my desktop machines (I'd bought a new UPS for them and was in the process of changing it out on Friday when the power dropped, so everything except the modem and the wireless router is unplugged.

In a bit of further good news, as far as I'm concerned, DirecTV seems to have added Setanta Sports to their regular programming, rather than charging extra for it.  33% more soccer!
