The answer to how long I'd be at work turned out to be about another hour.  I probably could have left at 8:45, but since the problem we were trying to correct had prevented a new user from accessing his computer and email and all those things for the entire week and a half since he'd started, I thought it would be nice to get his machine set up so all he'd have to do this morning is log on.

My sinuses hate me.  Stupid allergies.

This evening, I have to help with Phase One of a wholesale departmental move at our main offices.  Tomorrow afternoon is Phase Two (after the movers have dealt with the furniture).  Somewhere in all of that, I need to clean up my study and get everything that's currently on or near the floor into a box and downstairs into the living room, in order to accommodate the carpet cleaners who are coming on Tuesday.  This will be an immensely unfun task.

The first phase of the big departmental move went down this evening.  It only took us about two hours to do the lion's share of the work.  There are a couple of machines we have to move and set up tomorrow, once the furniture in various offices gets shuffled, but most of it's already done.

Tomorrow, I'm going in around 11:30 to finish up and relocate our servers.  The office shuffle would leave them basically unguarded in an area where all of our psychiatric patients will pass through daily.  Not an optimal situation.  We'll be moving them down into the phone room on the first floor.  I'm a little concerned about heat down there, but I've been told steps to mitigate it are in the works.  Also, it's October, so we've got some time to work out a solution.

Meanwhile, the house prep for the carpet cleaners continues.  I've got my study about halfway done, which is pretty good.  I'm fairly certain I've been running on naught but adrenaline for the past two days.  If I can hold on until we get to the end of the line, all will be well.
